Teddy Afro to remain in Kaliti
Teddy Afro’s trail has been adjourned until Wednesday, April 23 while the judges consider to rule over his appeal for right of bail on charges of murder.The judge ordered the prosecutor to amend the charge.
The atmosphere around the courtroom was tense.A thousand of the singer’s fan surrounded the court where the singer appeared this morning.Lines of cars streched in the road. Some were singing his hits and cheered wildly when vehicles entered.Teddy waved as he passed them.The courtroom was croweded and police dispersed those who remained outside with the tear gas.
Teddy was sent to jail on April 16.

I’m not so naive as to think “this” is all about justice being served. I know somebody is out to teach teddy a lesson and he hasn’t helped his case (by either getting drunk and hitting someone & then skipping, or getting drunk and driving, or driving without a license, or handing his car keys over to someone who did all or some..). However, reports like “woyane threw teddy afro to jail” sound really immature to me.

I do not think Teddy can be labled as “azmari”, what with the lack of “masinqo”, the term being promoted to “zefagn”, the income difference, and all :-). But even if he *was* and those who love his (mezmurs?! zimaares?!) went to see him at court to give morale support, shouldn’t that be *their* problem, and or preference? Why are we always trying to “mechan” our value tags and filagots on others?!

Teddy may be enosent or not. One fact is Woyane hates him and Woyane is so crul that they didn’t retreate from attacking anybody they hate. What i gus is the wonanes want to make him suffer for the songs he made for ethiopan ppl. When is Ethiopia become a good place to leave!!!!! this is an era for the end of Woyanesssss

teddy is a shamless azmari, what if it was your 18 years old brother who had been killed. he should be killed for leaving the young man while he was fighting for his life. ignore this azmari and think about the child who was killed by this hodam azmari. he did nothing to ethiopia except selling his cd for us. he wasn’t giving the cd for us for free.

Well, it is so early to say Teddy has committed the crime or those in power are trying to damage his reputation and his life at large or someone with his/her hidden agenda is behind the scene. But I don’t think what he has been saying against the government over the years will put him in jail. If he is guilty of hit and run that ended up with death, justice must be served and vise verse. That is what justice is all about. Sometimes those who we love may get their hands a little dirty.
Let’s wait and see.

why would they protest to food cost being high. it is ALWAYS HIGH in ethipia if you haven’t noticed. just becase gas prices got to 4$ here doesn’t mean food was cheap in ethiopia.

as i am tigrean i love teddy and his jobs. however, if the crime is true teddy is not more than anybody else in ethiopia. he have to judge the same with the other people. anyway i leaved this to someone concerned to it but i really wish teddy will be free.

I agree with solomon on this one. I think it is false accusation. somebody here said that God is bigger than weyane , god bless you whoever you are. that is true which is why i wrote this letter to teddy himself

I am so surprised to hear that you are in prison. What a shock!!! Well my heart goes out to you, your family, and fans all over the world. As most of my fellow Ethiopian’s stated, God is the key to everything. So I suggest we all have to pray for your freedom. You are not alone the lord is with you. You are not guilty until proven guilty. They can not accuse you based on circumstantial evidences. Sometimes we all have to pay some price for telling the truth. The truth is hard for people to handle. If you take a look at the bible, Jesus was crucified for telling the truth, St Paul was imprisoned for spreading the gospel of Jesus, and Joseph ended up in prison because he was falsely accused of sleeping with the king’s wife. However, if you take a good look at all this people, they have something in common, faith, hope and love, and their destiny was not prison rather a very high place. God has awarded each and every one of them and has granted them a special place. Therefore, I say to you do not worry, you are part of that group, you shall be proud. God had a reason and purpose in sending Joseph to prison, I am sure you have a mission while you are there. Just pray to know your mission and God will listen and answer your prayers. I can see the light shining upon you very soon. God has not given up on you; he knows that he put seeds of greatness in you. You have something to offer that nobody else has. Unfortunately, the enemy knows something about what is inside of you as well. He knows the potential you are carrying, so he does everything he can to keep that seed from taking a root. He does not want your gifts and talents to flourish. Just recognize that God is with you and keep fighting just like Mandela of (South Africa) and King David of the (bible). The way to fight is by keeping faith and hope alive and living by love. Love those who hate you, & pray for those who hurt you. After all Love wins against everything. Be not be afraid just believe and you shall be saved. Teddy, I may not know what you are going through, but I do know our God, and he is all powerful and that God is with you. He will send you his angels in your time of need. Who knows they might break the prison door and take you out, as they helped peter out of prison. I guarantee you; you will see God’s miracles.
