Zeritu to perform at Christmas concert

Female pop singer Zeritu Kebede will perform at a special Ethiopian Christmas Eve concert at Alliance Ethio-Française tonight. Accompanied by the group Mehari Brothers, Zertiu will sing Christmas songs and carols from around the world along with her own latest hits.
The concert is to be held with the support of BGI Ethiopia and part of its profit would go to a local NGO called Addis Woubet, “Save Addis Heritage”, an initiative led by Princess Maryam-Tsena Asfaw Wosen, granddaughter of Emperor Haile Selassie.
Zeritu has already performed at the Alliance on the occasion of the Ethiopian Music Festival last year. Her piece ‘Habte’ recorded on the stage with the company of a jazzy group including Henok Temsegen has been included in a CD released recently.
Zeritu who has become a mother to her second child months ago is planning her second album.
