For the love of Obama

m

I just came across a community blog on the Obama ’08 official campaign website where an Ethiopian from Minnesota is blogging.

Her name is Meaza Siraj. She says she supports him   because she believes he is a man of his word and wants to be part of the generation of change.

Her latest message is for Hilary, to stop confusing people.

I guess Hilary and her camps are hearing.

I visited her blog and i thought she was not taking the whole blogging thing serious. Every other word has been misspelled and i thought that took a lot away from her relaying a message.

However, and that’s a big ‘HOWEVER’, i must applaud her for her effort to put the message forth.

Most young women or men are out of touch with any kind of politics. She must be a bright woman to have the patience to meticulously analyze the candidates and find her choice in Obama, based on the issues and not popularity.

That’s my thought and i would tell her to keep writing as she has a lot to talk about.

I am happy to find about an Ethio-American girl supporting the American hopeful candiidate, Barak Obama. At a time it has become something of a fashion to point fingers at America and what it stands for, this is one instance that could show us a different picture. The strengh thiscountry has.
That is the beauty of American democracy where people from diffrent parts of the world can become citizens overnight, run for offices, and vote for thier choice. I agree with Selam, it isn’t who wins but the process that counts most.
With all the crticism Americais getting, it is easy to ignore this fact.
