Thought this might interest you!

A story from the New York Times  on a small town in the US that made headline for racial tension surrounding the school system and the Jena Six.

And curiously it all started in an oak tree.

I don’t know what to say. Honestly, even though I’m white, I would have found the boys that hung those nooses on the tree and kicked their asses. They deserve it and no one has ever bothered punishing them severely for it. What would it have taken? Them to burn a cross in the school yard?

Those kids should have had a much harsher punishment, but it seems that people don’t always realize that even the most adolescent “prank” can go awry and get people hurt in the end. I really think that hanging nooses from a tree in the south is pretty bad, but apparently their school board didn’t think so.

Also, at my high school, we had junior members of the KKK. We also had very few black students. The ones that did attempt to participate in classes such as agriculture, which were full on members, were scared off. I remember going down to welding class one day and finding my African-American friends’ locker spray painted with blood red words I would rather not say. He didn’t stay in class for long after that.

Now, my high school is in Indiana. You can’t possibly tell me that if there are members of the KKK here that they aren’t in Louisiana. The nooses on the tree should have been considered a hate crime, even if it was directed at other white students. A noose is what people used to use to kill one another. It is a hate crime, period. Plain and simple.

Just so I understand this. Thousands of Black supremacists flood the small town of Jena, Louisiana demanding that 6 Black youths be freed from a jail they were not in, demanding all charges in relation to a beatdown they “”allegedly “” gave to Justin Barker, and this is praised by 2 of THE MOST RACIALLY BIGOTED BLACK MEN IN THE COUNTRY, al $harpton and je$$e jack$on. And, since, sadly, most of the country’s media are of the Marxist liberal variety, all of this is counted as praiseworthy. That these 6 “”alleged”” batterers should have all charges dropped is portrayed as justice, the right thing to do, proves to me, and many others, just how far fallen this nation is from the true spiritual greatness it once was, that WRONG has become RIGHT, and RIGHT has become WRONG. This was predicted by Jesus, when he said that in those days men will call evil good and good evil. Or words to that effect.
Way to go, FOJ! Y’all fell into this trap long ago.

Then, Whites come in, far fewer in number and they are all labeled “White Supremacists” and “extremists” by that lying hypocrite, je$$e. Has everyone but me forgotten how je$$e was having bastard children by women other than his wife, all the while having the unmitigated audacity to so-call “counsel” former president Bill Clinton about his Monica affair, which was merely one of dozens he had from governor to president? Not to mention the “protection” racket he and his family has been running for years? His activities have caused me to dearly wish I had been a business owner, just so I could mistreat some Black employees, just so he would appear, just so I could face him down, showing the world that “you don’t have to cave in to this extortionist!”
But, alas, God knows what is best for me, even when I do not. Even though the FOJ maintains their proximity to certain areas of jack$on’s person, as best I can, I will continue to rail about this huckster, this charlatan.

J Shirley, nice rant. Black Supremacist?? Talk about an Oxymoron! But you are being destracted with that KKK hood you have over your head to see the flaw in your argument. Now would you mind taking your hood off so we can see who you are? lol

Actually, the trouble with America today is that there’s a very few of your types out there screaming at the top of your lungs about how you are ‘God loving good Christian$’, who soemhow managed to get a stage in the national debate to spew your hatred and pretend that you are the true blue blooded Amrericans. That is the trouble with America today. You want to turn the country back to the ‘good old days’ of Jim Crow. Well dear Shirley, it ain’t gonna happen. You might want to ask YOUR god or Jesus, to help you lift that hood so you can see clearly and cleanse yourself from that hate you are harboring.

The actual events seem to have been distorted to foment a racial crisis. There does appear to be a case of racially-motivated unequal treatment with respect to the young thugs who assaulted another student. The solution to that is genuine justice and fair sentencing not a “Get Out of Jail Free” card.

Why is the white citizens of Jena, conveniently forget the incidents in which a black teenager was assaulted by a group of whites, or the incident in which a white guy tried to shoots a group of blacks and when the intended victims wrestled the gun away from the would be shooter, they were charged with theft of the gun? I can see why the white people of Jena defend their racist D.A.

Those boys should not be charged that harshly. Yes, they did gang up on a white students, but they were basically being harassed and no one in the community was stopping it. After a while they probably just got tired of it and took matter into their own hands. I’m not justifying whatthey did, but those kids do not not deserve to go to jail. nd I think its really said how some people up here are making comments about these kids needing to be given the harshest punishment. They didnt kill anyone and it said in the article the boy wasn’t seriously hurt. I don’t understand why they need to go to jail for fighting. This situation is a load of bull! There is no way to justify how these boys could be chardged this harshly. Its unfair and injustified
