Melkam Ken Tolo Na

Here is an Amharic poem composed in anticipation of the New Year that I have received from Mitiku Adisu through my e-mail. I’d like to express my appreciation for the contribution.

    Arefe,
I was able to read the poem in Ethiopianchurch.Org (indicated below) and also in Debteraw.com at http://debteraw.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/melkaqan1.pdf.

The fonts in your blog seem to be uneven and also lines 3 and 4 are conjoined to line 2 I think when transcribing.

Thanks for the good job you are doing.

Ok Hamdah, here below is my favorite amharic love poem [from him to her] of all times.

    “Korosho sibelut yilal kurshim kurshim
    BeSet set yitekal enate aydeleshim”

    Hope she likes it!

Thanks for the poem. I am in the process of preparing Amharic quotation book, I will be using a couple of lines from the poem.

    Thank you again.
