Why is the American anti-war activist ending her involvement?
Cindy Sheehan is an American anti-war activist, whose son, Casey Sheehan, was killed during his service in the Iraq War on April 4, 2004, aged 24.
She has attracted international attention in August 2005 for her extended demonstration at a peace camp outside President George W.Bush’s Texas ranch garnering her both support and criticism. Now she explains in her diary in Daily Kos why she is resigning from the “face” of the American war movement.A sad read from a diary of a mother who feels her son died for nothing.

Don’t be hypocrite. Why aren’t you talking about Ethiopian mothers who are mourning in the loss of their sons mercilessly killed by woyane army instead of talking about an American mother?
don’t call me cruel but americans have still to pay for the stupidity of oe person at their palace and theirc ovverwelming support of the desceions to got to Iraq.Veitnam is just a joke. all this for Isreael, ,theyare not still askig if if it worth it.
Good decisions! It was a serious cause, but somehow, she lost track of what’s the issue all about. She put out a very bad image of hereself.
That is the trouble with all wars.first leaders tell you there is a good cause to fight. Then young people go and die. They pay heavy price.Victory is nowehere.People start to ask what was it for and if it is worth it? that is exactly what is happpening in america.
After all this americans are still talking about striking Iran.Don’t think they will do but if they that might be the end of America.
First, she did not quit. She said she is taking a much needed time off. Second Juru, how is it that she lost track of the issue? Can you explain? Personally, we owe her a great deal of gratitude for her tireless work until now.
Chereka,
Simply, she ain’t Jane Fonda. Hope, this explains.
Interesting comparison Juru and I am not sure how to interpret it. Not to belittle her contribution, but I don’t remember Jane Fonda losing a son in Vietnam. Also, Cindy Sheehan did not get half the media attention Jane Fonda got when she started her campaign. So, I might take Sheehan moreseriously than Jane Fonda.
